Praveen Tumula, M.D., FACP, is board certified in hematology, internal medicine, and medical oncology. Dr. Tumula is Texas Oncology’s regional medical director for Abilene, Amarillo, Midland, Odessa, and Wichita Falls. His personal experience of knowing someone with cancer, and the accompanying feelings of helplessness, spurred his pursuit of oncology. His aspiration is to make a significant impact, be on forefront of the fight against cancer, and offer hope and support.
Dr. Tumula strives to build genuine relationships – connecting on a personal level, understanding your fears, hopes, and unique stories. He becomes more than just a physician; he becomes a trusted confidant and guide through the complexities of cancer care. It is about empowering you with knowledge and being a steady support throughout your journey. Being part of your story, witnessing your resilience and courage, and knowing he played a role in your fight against cancer is meaningful to him.
Spending quality time with family, cooking and traveling help him relax and unwind. Dr. Tumula encourages finding activities to relax your mind.
