General Summary
Dr. Khade is a hematologist and medical oncologist who specializes in treating all different types of solid tumor cancers, as well as both benign and malignant hematologic conditions. He offers the latest evidence-based treatments to his patients and believes that oncology care is based on a strong doctor-patient relationship.
Dr. Khade was always drawn to the field of oncology, as his grandmother had metastatic breast cancer, and he saw from a personal standpoint the impact that cancer can have on a patient’s life, as well as on the lives of family members. He also values how oncology care is a continually evolving field, with new innovations in cancer treatments, and rapid developments in oncology medicine. He is both honored and humbled to serve as an oncologist for his patients, and always treats patients with kindness and compassion in navigating their journey with cancer. He is respectful of all different cultures and values. He is proud to be practicing in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, the community in which he grew up and calls home.
Dr. Khade grew up in Flower Mound, TX. He received a scholarship to attend Texas A&M University, where he obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering while simultaneously completing his pre-medical studies on an accelerated pathway. He then attended medical school at Texas A&M University College of Medicine, where he earned his medical doctorate. In medical school, he was awarded the J.T. Lamar McNew Scholarship and the Alpha Omega Alpha Carolyn L. Kuckein Medical Student Research Fellowship.
He subsequently completed his residency training in internal medicine at Louisiana State University Health Shreveport Academic Medical Center, where as a resident he received the Alpha Omega Alpha Joseph E. Lowenstein House Officer Teaching Award for his teaching and education of medical students and interns. During this time, Dr. Khade also conducted oncology research involving renal cell carcinoma and non-small cell lung cancer. He then completed his fellowship in hematology and medical oncology at LSU Health Shreveport Academic Medical Center, where he trained under the tutelage of renowned faculty at LSU in the fields of solid tumor oncology as well as both benign and malignant hematology.
Dr. Khade was also inducted into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. He has conducted clinical research throughout the entirety of his training, including participating in clinical trials, authoring numerous journal manuscripts and abstracts, and presenting his work at multiple medical conferences and meetings.
