Results of genetic testing are highly confidential. Regardless of your health insurance policy’s coverage for genetic testing, the results of your genetic test cannot be used against you.

The Genetic Information Non-discrimination Act of 2008 prohibits health insurance companies or employers from withdrawing or denying coverage, increasing premiums or making employment compensation decisions based on genetic test results.
