Our Mission
Fighting Cancer Together
At Texas Oncology, we’re committed to providing excellent, evidence-based care for each patient we serve, while advancing cancer care for tomorrow. Our team is united in purpose in caring for a uniquely vulnerable patient population, and with an internal culture built around a central promise; do the right thing in supporting patients, colleagues, and our communities.
Core Values
Patient Care
Providing compassionate, comprehensive, and accessible care for our patients.
Culture
Creating a welcoming and respectful partnership among our physicians, advanced practice providers, and extended care team.
Business
Innovating new ways of servicing both rural and urban sites while remaining competitive in the overall Texas market.
Texas Oncology has been my home away from home for more than 17 years, and I have learned so much from physicians, staff, and patients. So many of our patients have left a lasting memory with me. Not only are we healing their heart, mind, and soul, but they are healing ours too. The guidance we have received from our amazing Texas Oncology leadership team has led us through hurricanes, ice storms, new initiatives, software changes, and the COVID-19 pandemic. I feel very fortunate to be a part of the Texas Oncology family!
Our Network
Supporting Texas Since 1986
Texas Oncology is an independent oncology practice employing more than 5,700 talented individuals in an array of clinical and non-clinical roles.
Our team of more than 500 physicians includes 317 medical oncologists, 68 radiation oncologists, 31 gynecologic oncologists, and 104 surgeons. Additional clinical support is provided by 152 advanced practice providers and 320 Oncology Certified Nurses. Our staff also includes radiation therapists and physicists, pharmacists, medical assistants, genetic counselors, schedulers, and other key roles.
The physicians who founded Texas Oncology believed there was a better way to provide cancer care. Together, they made community-based cancer treatment a reality.
We believe patients deserve access to high quality cancer care, the confidence to fight cancer, and to have the critical support of their family and friends nearby. Our network of more than 210 locations throughout Texas, including 55 comprehensive cancer centers, eliminates the strenuous burden of frequent travel for appointments at distant treatment facilities without compromising quality care for patients. More than 55,000 new cancer patients are seen at Texas Oncology annually.
