Talking Prescription Labels Now Available To Assist You

If you or a loved one has trouble reading the small print on prescription medications, ScripTalk Talking Labels can help. This is a free service that allows you to hear all your prescription label information out loud. Simply request this service, and your pharmacist will program and place a small electronic tag on your prescription package, typically on the bottom of the bottle.

There are two ways to hear the information.

You can use a free mobile ScripTalk App to have all the label information read out loud, including drug name, dosage, instructions, warning, pharmacy information, doctor name, prescription number, date and more. Click the “Scan” button in the App and hold the label up to the phone — the front if it’s an iPhone or the back, near the camera, if it’s an Android.

Alternatively, you can also use a ScripTalk Station, which is about the size of an old, portable CD player. Simply place the pill bottle on the machine and press the “Read” button. This device will be shipped to you, free on loan, for however long you need it. The two triangle buttons on either side of the oval “Read” button can be used to jump forward or back through the prescription information. There is small wheel on the side of the machine which can be moved to turn the machine on and turn up the volume. The ScripTalk Station runs on batteries. It’s simple and user friendly.

If you have any issues or questions on using the App or the ScripTalk Station, you can call En-Vision America at 1-800-890-1180 and the customer service team will assist you. Ask your pharmacist today to get these free ScripTalk Talking Labels.
