Emmalind Aponte, M.D., is board certified in hematology and medical oncology. Dr. Aponte is the San Antonio Region’s research leader and has a special research interest in breast cancer.

With over 15 years of experience as a medical oncologist, Dr. Aponte has had the privilege of caring for numerous patients with complex oncologic and medical histories. This extensive clinical experience has deepened her diagnostic acumen, strengthened her decision-making skills, and reinforced her commitment to delivering compassionate, individualized care.

Dr. Aponte finds joy and fulfillment in staying physically active – for health, challenge, and variety. A variety that has included step aerobics instructor, CrossFit community, jogging, and weightlifting. These experiences reflect her overall commitment to personal growth, discipline, and resilience.
