General Summary
Shruti Sharma, D.O. FACP, is a hematologist and medical oncologist in San Antonio, Texas. She has recently joined Texas Oncology after completing her hematology-oncology fellowship in the Chicago area. In fellowship, she received distinguished research awards for her research in breast cancer in the elderly population including the Distinguished Research Achievement Award by the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine.
She strives to create a positive environment by encouraging open dialogue and communication with patients’ regarding their cancer diagnosis. “No two patients are the same,” she states. “Every patient deserves their own individualized treatment plan, meticulously crafted by the most up-to-date evidence-based guidelines, compassion, and best supportive care.” It is her privilege to take care of the San Antonio community and provide the highest level of care for her patients.
Dr. Sharma has many interests including tennis and swimming, playing her violin, yoga, and spending time with her cat, Jasper. She prides herself in being a life-long learner.
Her research interests include solid tumor malignancies, specifically breast cancer, GI malignancies, and lung cancer and is excited to pursue further clinical trial research in her interests with Texas Oncology.
