After consulting with her gynecologist, Brenda was referred to Dr. Jennifer Snow, a breast surgeon at Texas Breast Specialists–Southwest Fort Worth, a part of Texas Oncology. The surgeon was highly recommended by other women who had breast procedures.

Texoma Boasts Numerous Resources for Patients, Families Affected by Cancer

Texoma Residents whose lives have been affected by cancer and breast cancer in particular have access to multiple area resources when it comes to treatment and care, financial assistance and social support. Virtually all patients who receive cancer treatment in Greyson County do so through Texas Oncology. The health care provider has facilities in both Sherman and Denison and provides chemotherapy, radiation, amino therapy and diagnostic iomaging, as well as labratory adn pharmaceutical services.

Sisters-In-Law Fight Breast Cancer With Local Support

When Connie Rubio started treatment for breast cancer, her sister-in-law, Tessie, offered support. Just months later, Tessie was diagnosed with the disease. The sisters-in-law have undergone treatments at Texas Oncology – Midland Allison Cancer Center and want others to realize they don’t have to go out of town for care. Connie said staying locally has given her loved ones a chance to see her go through daily tasks

Five years after a valiant and successful breast cancer fight, Sarah was charging full steam ahead with her life, working on a doctoral degree in educational leadership. Then, just five weeks after completing the fifth year of follow-up hormone treatment, Sarah discovered a lump in her armpit (axilla). She was diagnosed with Stage IIIC breast cancer in February 2017.
