Deepthi Thotakura, M.D., is board certified in hematology, internal medicine, and medical oncology. She was inspired to pursue oncology because of a mentor in medical school. He embodied the kind of physician she aspired to become – thoughtful, intellectually sharp, and deeply caring of his patients. She thoughtfully observed the meaningful relationships he built with them. It made her realize she wanted to offer that same level of connection and compassion in her own practice.
