Allyson L. Harroff, M.D., is board certified in hematology and medical oncology. As a key stakeholder of Texas Oncology, she has held numerous leadership roles and helped recruit many physicians to the practice. Dr. Harroff serves as chief medical officer of Texas Oncology and as regional medical director for San Antonio. She leads a culture of patient-focused and cross-functional collaboration among thousands of employees and physicians across the practice and state. Her special interests include breast cancer treatment and prevention. Dr. Harroff is active in numerous clinical research studies.
Dr. Harroff was inspired to become an oncologist after supporting her father through his successful treatments for colon cancer. The most rewarding part of her job is building meaningful relationships with her patients. Her approach to patient care is grounded in evidence-based medicine and patient education. She believes in clearly communicating the diagnosis and available treatment options, ensuring patients have the information needed to make informed decisions. Through open dialogue and collaboration, Dr. Harroff finds great purpose in helping you navigate your treatment.
