48th Annual Cattle Baron’s Ball Announces Texas Oncology as Presenting Sponsor

DALLAS, TX – Today, the 48th Annual Cattle Baron’s Ball announced Texas Oncology as the presenting sponsor. The Cattle Baron’s Ball will take place, in person, on Saturday, October 23rd at Gilley’s Dallas. Headlined this year by performances from Dierks Bentley and Cole Swindell, Cattle Baron’s is the largest and most impactful single night fundraiser for the American Cancer Society in the world raising over $86 million since 1974.

“We are honored to have Texas Oncology as our presenting sponsor for the 48th Annual Cattle Baron’s Ball,” said Jeff Fehlis, executive vice president of the American Cancer Society. “For more than a century, the American Cancer Society has taken great strides to reduce the burden of cancer across the country. But we still need to finish the fight against cancer. In Texas, more than 133,000 people will hear the words, ‘You have cancer’ this year. Through collaboration with organizations such as Texas Oncology we can continue to fund breakthrough cancer research and provide vital patient services in the Dallas-Fort Worth community, like the brand-new Hope Lodge facility.”

“Texas Oncology is happy to step up as the presenting sponsor of this important event,” said Steven Paulson, M.D., president and chairman of Texas Oncology. “Raising money to support cancer research is critical to advancing treatment options as well as improving outcomes for cancer patients.”

Texas Oncology is an independent private practice with more than 500 physicians and 210 locations across the state. Meeting the oncology needs of Texans for more than 35 years, the practice includes Texas Center for Proton Therapy, Texas Breast Specialists, Texas Oncology Surgical Specialists, and Texas Center for Interventional Surgery. As a lead participant in US Oncology Research, Texas Oncology played a role in the development of more than 90 FDA-approved therapies, about one-third of all cancer therapies approved to date.
