Dr. Russell Hoverman of Texas Oncology explains the vital and roles nurses play in cancer care by balancing their clinical skills with compassionate care.

Dr. Angela Seda, a fellowship-trained breast surgeon, has joined the leading-edge cancer care teams at Texas Breast Specialists. She will practice at Texas Breast Specialists–Arlington.

Dr. L. Andy Chen, a specialist in radiation oncology, has joined the cancer care team at Texas Oncology. He will practice at Texas Oncology–Beaumont and Texas Oncology–Jasper, two of Texas Oncology’s more than 150 cancer treatment locations in communities throughout Texas and southeastern Oklahoma.

Texas Oncology is celebrating the invaluable role nurses and other healthcare professionals play in treating patients with cancer and other serious illnesses as part of an annual Thanksgiving program recognizing those who are on the front lines with patients and families every day. They are nothing short of super heroes.

Texas Oncology-Fort Worth 8th Ave. has been awarded a three-year term of accreditation in radiation oncology by the American College of Radiology (ACR). Notably, Texas Oncology-Fort Worth 8th Ave. is the first ACR-accredited facility in Tarrant County and is one of only three in North Texas. 

Two hundred twenty tons of new hope for cancer patients came to North Texas early today with the arrival of the massive cyclotron at the Texas Center for Proton Therapy.
