San Antonio Area Support Groups
Currently all of our support groups are being held virtually to protect our patients and staff during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Our San Antonio area support groups bring patients in San Antonio and the surrounding area together to share their experiences and learn more about living with cancer.
The support groups are led by licensed social workers and focus on coping, stress management, mindfulness, and communication, all while fostering new relationships between patients. Participation in the group is completely voluntary and there is no cost for the program. Space is limited, and registration is required. Please register using the form on this page and a social worker will be in touch with more information about your support group. Select a different region on the overview support group page if you were not treated in the San Antonio area.
Virtual Support Groups
Cancer care does not stop even during the COVID-19 pandemic. Our patients’ well-being is our priority and our social work team has organized the transition of Texas Oncology support groups to an online platform to continue supporting you during these uncertain times.
Open Enrollment Support Group
Texas Oncology’s open enrollment support group is led by a licensed social worker and is a place for cancer patients to meet others with similar struggles, share stories and suggestions, and find support, all while fostering relationships. This group is available for patients throughout the state and does not require a session commitment to participate. Patients are able to register for the sessions that are available and convenient for their schedule. View current open enrollment sessions.
