Surgical Oncology, Hepatobiliary Surgery

Rob Alan Fuller, M.D., FACS, is board certified in general surgery. Dr. Fuller specializes in hepatobiliary surgery. He always wanted to be a doctor. Being a surgeon allowed him to have the most immediate effect on improving people’s lives. The complexity of the conditions people face and the long-term relationships formed when treating people with cancer drew him to surgical oncology. Dr. Fuller finds fulfillment in the technical aspects of getting a patient safely through a difficult operation. The trust built over time in taking care of people at their most challenging times is also rewarding.
Dr. Fuller was Austin's first surgical oncologist. He has applied his surgical skills and advanced training to the treatment of cancer by combining laparoscopic surgical techniques to pioneer new, effective ways to treat tumors.
Outside of work, he likes to travel, attend or watch The University of Texas sports, and golf.
