Paul V. Loar III, M.D., FACOG

Paul V. Loar III, M.D., FACOG, is board certified in gynecologic oncology and obstetrics and gynecology. Dr. Loar is the medical director of the gynecologic oncology program at St. David’s North Austin Medical Center. Dr. Loar believes that research should be a part of any oncology practice. He brought clinical trials to Texas Oncology–North Austin. It affords people fighting cancer with access to the latest, advanced care.

He was inspired to enter medicine by several amazing mentors. The most meaningful part of his job is the relationships he builds with the people he treats. His approach to care is collaborative, personalized, and evidence based. A cancer diagnosis is always stressful,  and the relationship between patient and physician needs to be a two-way street. He often describes it as a roller coaster ride with many ups and downs, twists and turns. Dr. Loar is in the car right beside you the entire time.
