About
Antonio Santillan-Gomez, M.D., MBA, FACOG, is board certified in gynecologic oncology and obstetrics and gynecology. He is fellowship trained in gynecologic cancers and complex abdominal-pelvic surgeries through minimally invasive robotic-assisted laparoscopy. His compassionate clinical approach, combined with his surgical skills and use of the latest technology, offers his patients high quality care.
Dr. Santillan-Gomez is an expert in cytoreductive surgery (debulking) for peritoneal malignancies, especially for people with ovarian cancer. He has participated in more than 6,000 cases of robotic surgery, making him a leading robotic surgeon in the field.
Dr. Santillan-Gomez has always shown interest in other areas of the medical field, including collaborating with academic and scientific centers. He is an adjunct assistant professor at the Johns Hopkins Kelly Gynecologic Oncology Service, where he participates in clinical research and surgical device innovations. He serves as a clinical faculty member for the San Antonio Uniformed Services Health Education Consortium Gynecologic Surgery and Obstetrics Residency Program. He is co-author of multiple peer-reviewed articles in medical journals, book chapters, abstracts, and presentations.
