Over 100 Texans have become sick with measles recently. To protect our patients and staff, we ask that patients and caregivers avoid coming in to our clinics if they have been near someone with measles, have been diagnosed with measles, or have any symptoms of infection like a fever or a rash. If any of these apply to you and you have a visit booked, please contact your clinic to let them know and book a virtual visit (telehealth) instead. Advance Care Planning

It can be beneficial to have conversations about your values and wishes should you become seriously ill. Deciding on the types of treatment you prefer and making that known early can relieve much stress and anxiety for you and your family because they know your wishes.

It is important to address what can be emotionally difficult decisions before an urgent situation emerges. For example, you may need to consider whether to have life-extending treatment, although it may cause pain and discomfort, or treatment that concentrates on pain and discomfort relief, but may not extend life.
