Stuart S. Winkler, M.D., FACS

Stuart S. Winkler, M.D., FACS is board certified in gynecologic oncology. He was inspired to pursue medicine after a mission trip to Honduras, where he saw firsthand the impact unmet medical needs can have on individuals and communities. Dr. Winkler finds it especially meaningful to care for patients during some of the most difficult and uncertain times in their lives, guiding them through diagnosis, surgery, and subsequent chemotherapy or radiation treatment with compassion and experience. He takes a personalized approach to care, first understanding what each patient knows and wants to know about her condition, then tailoring conversations and treatment accordingly. When appropriate, he also welcomes family members into early discussions to help build support throughout the care journey. Outside of work, Dr. Winkler enjoys spending time with his wife and five children, as well as teaching, serving in his church, and playing bass on the worship team.
