Kimberly B. Loar, M.D., FACOG, MSCP, is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology. After completing residency in 2006, Dr. Loar was in private general OB/GYN practice for 14 years. After retiring from Obstetrics in 2020, she joined the GYN Oncology department of Texas Oncology to head their High-Risk Gynecology and Dysplasia Division. Her focus there is vulvar, vaginal, and cervical dysplasia (precancer), as well as second opinion pelvic ultrasounds. Additionally, she handles benign GYN problems for all Texas Oncology patients. This includes surveillance and risk-reducing surgeries for pathogenic genetic mutations such as BRCA/Lynch carriers. She has extensive experience performing minimally invasive laparoscopic surgeries including robotic hysterectomies. She has been a da Vinci trained robotic surgeon since 2008. Additionally, as a menopause certified practitioner, she is also passionate about the treatment of genitourinary and vasomotor symptoms of menopause, using both menopausal hormone therapy and nonhormonal treatments. Dr. Loar is fluent in Spanish.
