Carl G. Chakmakjian, D.O., FACP, is board certified in internal medicine and medical oncology. He is a member of the US Oncology Thoracic Research Committee. He received the Quantum award for clinical trial accruals, awarded to physicians who enrolled more than 100 people in clinical trials.
For as long as he can remember, Dr. Chakmakjian wanted to be a physician. He chose to specialize in medical oncology because patients are special to him. They are so motivated to be involved in their healthcare. Dr. Chakmakjian also cherishes the clinical research that is so prevalent in medical oncology. He finds excitement in how the field has advanced and changed so rapidly over the last several years.
