General Summary

Care for patients with cancer is a unique and rewarding opportunity. Due to the complex scientific nature, patients may feel overwhelmed. This emotion, while normal, can be managed more effectively with the support and coordination of a patient’s care team which is expertly guided by the attending physician.

As a disciplined workflow within my medical practice, I work closely with my patients to help them navigate their care journey. This workflow begins with a comprehensive medical and family history; clinical assessment; diagnosis; and treatment plan. I strive to engage my patients, and their care givers when appropriate, to be active participants in their care. I believe strongly that cancer care is a continuum of medical support services, and therefore communicate with my patients following their clinic visits. I also collaborate with other disciplines and advocate for my patients to receive high quality and accessible care.

Patients have the right to choose their medical provider. It is my hope with every patient to earn their trust and confidence through honest and open communication, with the goal of achieving the ideal clinical outcome, while maintaining an important balance of life and comfort whenever appropriate.
