Priyanka N. Kamath, MD, MS, FACOG is a board-certified gynecologic oncologist with Texas Oncology in Austin who is dedicated to providing compassionate, personalized care to women facing gynecologic cancers. She treats cancers of the ovary, uterus/endometrium, cervix, vulva, and vagina, guiding patients through every step of diagnosis, treatment, and survivorship with clarity, empathy, and respect. As a gynecologic oncologist, Dr. Kamath is uniquely trained to provide both surgical care and chemotherapy, allowing for seamless, comprehensive treatment while collaborating closely with radiation oncologists, palliative care physicians and other members of a multidisciplinary care team.
Dr. Kamath is deeply committed to lifelong learning and staying at the forefront of advances in gynecologic cancer care. She actively incorporates the latest evidence-based treatments into practice and participates in clinical trials, offering patients access to emerging therapies that may improve outcomes and expand future treatment options. She believes that clinical research is essential not only for advancing cancer care, but also for giving patients additional options when standard therapies may be limited.
Dr. Kamath is known for being candid and transparent in her conversations, while always preserving hope and helping patients focus on what is possible. Her passion for women’s health and advocacy was shaped early in her career through volunteer work supporting vulnerable women, an experience that continues to inform her patient-centered approach. She completed her residency training in Austin and her fellowship in gynecologic oncology at the University of Miami, where she gained extensive experience in open, laparoscopic, and robotic surgery while caring for diverse patient populations. Known for taking time to listen, explain, and partner with her patients, Dr. Kamath prioritizes shared decision-making and education, so patients feel informed, supported, and confident throughout their cancer journey.
