Enrique A. Perez, M.D.

Education

Dr. Perez received his Bachelor of Science degree, Magna Cum Laude, from the University of Puerto Rico, Rio Piedras Campus, in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico, and his medical degree from the University of Puerto Rico Medical Science Campus in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Dr. Perez completed his internship and residency at the University District Hospital in San Juan, Puerto Rico, and his fellowship in medical oncology and hematology at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonia, in San Antonio, Texas. Dr. Perez has authored and co-authored numerous articles in peer reviewed journals.

Accolades & Memberships

Dr. Perez is a member of the Dallas County Medical Society, the Texas Medical Association, the American Medical Association and the American Society of Clinical Oncology. He has received the NCI-Minority Scientist Award by the American Association for Cancer Research in San Francisco.

Other Information

Dr. Perez has been married for 18 years and has one daughter. His hobbies include playing chess and reading. Of note, he is also a cancer survivor for over 13 years after successful treatment of a right thigh malignant sarcoma.
