Support Groups

Cancer affects far more than a patient’s body; their psychological and emotional health must also be considered. As a caregiver, you may be challenged by your loved one’s health or mortality, which can cause anxiety and stress.

Local and nationwide support groups can provide information, guidance, and an unparalleled understanding of living with cancer. Support groups bring caregivers together to share their experiences and learn more about solving their cancer-related challenges. The groups are often led by current or former patients or caregivers.

Only you can decide if a support group is beneficial for you, and your specific challenges will impact your choice. Some concerns are best addressed in groups; others may seem too personal to share. We can connect you with the right resources for you and your family.

The links below provide more information on support groups. Your local cancer center can also connect you to support groups and resources.
