General Summary
Nayel Khan, M.D., is a board certified otolaryngologist with a specialty in head and neck surgical oncology, robotic head and neck surgery, and microvascular reconstruction. Dr. Khan received his medical doctorate from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. He completed his residency in otolaryngology at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center where he completed additional training in translational research under the auspices of an NIH T32 grant. He received advanced training in head and neck surgical oncology, robotic surgery, and microvascular reconstruction at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, PA. Dr. Khan's areas of expertise include surgical treatment of cancers of the head and neck in a multidisciplinary fashion, robotic treatments of cancers of the oropharynx and larynx, as well as microvascular reconstruction to reconstruct defects and improve postoperative outcomes. He is one of few surgeons trained in these techniques in the South Texas region.
