General Summary
Melissa was a school social worker in her former social work life. She moved into medical social work as a medical social worker when Dell Children’s Medical Center opened, and she worked in the emergency department. Melissa’s family moved to Wisconsin, and she started work as a medical social worker for hospice and home care patients. It was an honor for her to be of service to her patients and their families and support them through end of life. Melissa is excited to bring that experience to Texas Oncology. I welcome the opportunity to join the Central Austin team and support our patients by providing emotional support and assisting with breaking down barriers to care.
