About
Umang Patel, MD is a board-certified radiation oncologist who completed his residency at Baylor College of Medicine, training across some of the nation’s leading institutions, including MD Anderson Cancer Center, Houston Methodist Hospital, St. Luke’s CHI, and the DeBakey VA Medical Center. He earned his Doctor of Medicine from Northeast Ohio Medical University.
Dr. Patel specializes in advanced radiation techniques, including intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IMRT), image-guided radiation therapy (IGRT/IG-IMRT) with cone beam CT, volumetric modulated arc therapy (VMAT), stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS), stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT/SABR), and skin brachytherapy. He is board certified by the American Board of Radiology.
Deeply committed to serving the Northeast Houston region, Dr. Patel provides personalized cancer care to patients in Kingwood, Humble, Atascocita, Spring, Huffman, Cleveland, and Livingston. He is passionate about bringing the most advanced cancer treatments closer to where patients live, minimizing travel while maximizing outcomes.
Dr. Patel is an active member of the American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO).
