Nayel Khan, M.D.

Nayel Khan, M.D., is board certified in otolaryngology. Dr. Khan specializes in head and neck surgical oncology, robotic head and neck surgery, and microvascular reconstruction.

During his residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, he completed training in translational research under a National Institutes of Health T32 grant. He received advanced training in head and neck surgical oncology, robotic surgery, and microvascular reconstruction at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, Pa.

Dr. Khan’s areas of expertise include surgical treatment of cancers of the head and neck and robotic treatments of cancers of the oropharynx and larynx. He also has expertise in microvascular reconstruction to reconstruct defects and improve postoperative outcomes. He is one of few surgeons trained in these techniques in the South Texas region.
