About
Mathews L. George, M.D., is board certified in internal medicine, medical oncology, and palliative medicine. Prior to joining Texas Oncology, Dr. George established the medical oncology program at the Harlingen Veterans Affairs Medical Center, which provides cancer care for more than 50,000 U.S. veterans. After his tour, he established the medical oncology program at the Nacogdoches Medical Center.
Dr. George enjoys music, photography, cooking, and spending time with his wife, who is a practicing neurologist, and his three children, who are all currently medical school students.
