Karthik Shankar, D.O.

Karthik Shankar, D.O., is board-certified in medical oncology, hematology, and internal medicine.

He was born in Bengaluru, India and came to the United States when he was very young. He developed a passion for medicine following in the footsteps of his parents who are both physicians. He takes great pride in cultivating close relationships, and this drove him particularly to the field of Hematology and Oncology. He believes in a holistic approach in caring for his patients, which includes building trust, setting goals, evidence-based practice, and most importantly - individualized treatment plans. He is dedicated to determining the best course of action for you specifically.

Outside of work, he has a great passion for sports. He is a big fan of the NFL, NBA, tennis, and cricket. He also enjoys spending time with his family and his beloved Australian Shepard dog named Yogi.
