About
James Petrikas, D.O., is board certified in radiation oncology. He is trained in the use of Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT), 3D conformal radiation therapy, and Gamma Knife®. His particular interests include High-Dose Rate and Low-Dose Rate brachytherapy to treat breast, prostate, and gynecologic malignancies. Dr. Petrikas’ clinical interests include breast, head and neck, prostate, gynecologic, and lung malignancies. He is published in the fields of breast cancer, prostate brachytherapy, and radiobiology, presenting these data at national meetings.
As a cancer survivor himself, James Petrikas, has a special interest in the physical and emotional concerns of long-term cancer survivorship. He has spoken at regional meetings, sharing his experience as both patient and oncologist. Dr. Petrikas enjoys spending time with his family. He is a licensed private pilot and enjoys outdoor activities including sports, fishing, and gardening.
