About
Christine Shiang, M.D., Ph.D., is board certified in internal medicine and specializes in breast cancer. A native of Sugar Land, Texas, Dr. Shiang is proud to serve the larger Houston community. Using her extensive training in breast cancer, she focuses on improving her patients’ long-term well-being and quality of life.
She earned her Ph.D. as a cancer biologist at MD Anderson Cancer Center by validating novel therapeutic targets for triple-negative breast cancer. She continued her cancer research throughout medical school at UT Southwestern Medical School. She completed UT Southwestern Medical Center’s Physician Scientist Training Program, where she delved into next-generation immunotherapy combinations for breast cancer. From diagnosis, treatment, and throughout survivorship, she offers comprehensive, dedicated, and personalized care for people with breast cancer and their families. She is part of a multidisciplinary breast cancer care team of breast and reconstructive surgeons, radiation oncologists, genetic counselors, clinical researchers, and supportive care specialists. She understands that breast cancer care is rapidly evolving and that new treatment developments are valuable options. Dr. Shiang believes that every person with cancer should have access to the latest treatments.
