Why Partner with Texas Oncology
Texas Oncology was founded in 1986 by a forward thinking group of physicians who shared a vision to chart their own course. They believed there was a better way to provide cancer care. Together, they made community-based cancer treatment a reality.
We’ve never strayed from our core mission to bring hope and a better quality of life to our patients. Every patient who entrusts their care to us is unique, and every fight, critical.
Liasons
Our oncology liaisons connect you to your local Texas Oncology practice. They work closely with you to provide information about our practice, answer your questions, and help facilitate your patient’s care. To reach your liaison, please call +1 (888) 864-4226.
Clinical Trials
Our patients can participate in our extensive clinical trials program. At any given time, Texas Oncology has more than 150 national clinical trials available. You can review our regularly updated list of clinical trials to see if your patient may qualify.
Compassionate team
Partnerships with physicians in the communities we serve are a hallmark of our practice. We’ll keep you informed of your patient’s progress and treatment plans. When they’ve completed their treatment, we will provide you copies of their treatment records so you have a complete picture of their oncology care.
How to Refer a Patient
Our partnerships with health professionals in our communities are vital. We’ll keep you updated on your patient’s treatment plans and collaborate with you on their ongoing care. We make the referral process quick and convenient for you and your patient.
You may refer a patient by:
- Submitting the below online referral request form
- You or your nurse may speak with our representatives by calling +1 (888) 864-4226.
Our referral staff will work with your patient to schedule an appointment. Prior to that appointment, we will need pertinent medical records, from the original diagnosis to the present including:
- Clinical notes
- Pathology, radiology, lab, and surgical reports
- Treatment summaries
We recommend your patients continue to follow-up with your office as well, and will keep you apprised of treatment plans.
