Susan Escudier, M.D., FACP, serves as vice president, Value-Based Care and Quality Programs for Texas Oncology and Medical Director for Value Based Care for McKesson Specialty Health. She also serves as regional medical director for Texas Oncology’s Gulf Coast region.  Dr. Escudier joined Texas Oncology in 1994 and practices at Texas Oncology–Houston Medical Center. Since she joined Texas Oncology, Dr. Escudier has served on the board of directors and numerous committees, including the practice’s medical oncology quality committee. She is a clinical associate professor of medicine at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston and previously served as assistant professor at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, where she was involved in leukemia research.

Education

Summa cum laude and special honors in Plan II at The University of Texas at Austin 1981; Medical degree in 1985 from Baylor College of Medicine; residency in internal medicine at Baylor College of Medicine 1985-1988 where she received the Chief Resident’s Outstanding Medical Resident Award.; fellowship in hematology 1989 at Baylor College of Medicine; and medical oncology fellowship in 1990-91 at The University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center.
