Dr. Fleischauer grew up in Little Rock, AR and attended Hendrix College and Oxford University.  He received his M.D. from the University of Arkansas in 2001. He completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at the University of Arkansas, followed by a chief residency at the John McClellan VA Medical Center in Little Rock. Dr. Fleischauer then completed a fellowship in medical oncology at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas. Prior to returning to North Texas, Dr. Fleischauer was in private practice in his hometown of Little Rock.

Accolades & Memberships

Dr. Fleischauer has served as the chair of the cancer committee at Texas Health Arlington Memorial since 2011 and the chairman of the credentials committee since 2017. He completed Texas Health Resources' Physician Leadership program and serves on the Physician Leadership Policy Council for the system as well as the Lab Formulary committee for Texas Health Resources.

Dr Fleischauer holds a membership in the American Society of Clinical Oncology where he served as a member of the Career Development and Publications committees. He also belongs to the American College of Physicians, American Medical Association and the Texas Medical Society. He served as president of the Arlington Medical Society from 2012-2013.
