Denim has been a nurse for 36 years and has a strong background in acute care including emergency care, cardiac, medical/surgical, neuro-trauma intensive care units, and cardiac cath/special procedures lab.
She completed her graduate studies at UAMS in 2006 with honors and earned her American Nurses Credentialing Center certification as a family nurse practitioner (FNP-BC). She is licensed in Texas as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN).
She has continued to gain experience as a family nurse practitioner and provide advanced practice provider services in primary care, internal medicine, urgent care, inpatient rehab, wound care, cardiology and inpatient hospitalist services.
Denim is excited to be a part of the Texas Oncology team and provide follow-up and acute care to patients. She provides services and program visits including treatment review and coordination, advance care planning and survivorship.
Other Information
Denim was born and raised in South Arkansas. She relocated to northeast Texas in 2009. She enjoys Bible study and believes in the power of prayer. She is an avid reader and loves to learn new things. Interests include gardening, cooking, canning, antiques, animals, and watching “British” shows. She most enjoys spending time with her husband, children and grandchildren.
