Chelsea White, MSN, APRN, AGACNP, BMTCN

Chelsea White, MSN, APRN, AG-ACNP, is an acute care nurse practitioner specializing in hematology and medical oncology with Texas Oncology.

She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from UT Tyler and later returned to school to complete her Master of Science in Nursing at UT Arlington.

Chelsea began her nursing career in 2014, focusing on hematologic malignancies and bone marrow transplant, before becoming a nurse practitioner in 2019.

She is one of only a few inpatient practitioners with Texas Oncology, working in close collaboration with each of the practice's medical oncologists to care for patients hospitalized at CHRISTUS Trinity Mother Frances Hospital in Tyler.

While hematologic malignancies remain her preferred area of focus, Chelsea enjoys caring for patients at every stage of their cancer journey — from initial diagnosis and educating patients on their treatment options, to managing treatment-related toxicities during hospitalization, to ensuring close follow-up in the outpatient clinic so patients can safely continue their therapy.

In the hospital setting, she is committed to easing the stress and uncertainty that often accompany an inpatient stay, working to make each patient's hospitalization as comfortable as possible while addressing their concerns with clarity and compassion.

Chelsea is proud to have helped successfully implement the administration of bispecific T-cell engager therapies in Tyler — a treatment previously available only in larger cities.

Her efforts have allowed local cancer patients to receive this novel therapy closer to home here in East Texas.
