Business Beat: Texas Oncology in Longview marks end of expansion
Texas Oncology–Longview Cancer Center reopened after expanding and renovating to modernize waiting areas and add space for providers and equipment.
Texas Oncology in Longview celebrated the end of its more than $11 million expansion and renovation project this month.
About a year ago, the Longview campus at 1300 Fourth St. started a project to add more than 3,000 square feet of space. The project modernized and expanded patient waiting areas, made space for more providers and made room for new MRI and CT scanners.
The Longview center opened in 1983. It sees tens of thousands of patients a year, with the number of new patients growing in recent years as the population ages and as more screening identifies cancer at earlier stages.
