Jamie E. Terry, M.D., MHCE, FACS, is board certified in general surgery. She has been in private practice as a general surgeon for more than a decade. Dr. Jamie Terry is well known inside Houston medical circles and in the community at large. An Ohio native, Dr. Terry has been active in Houston since 1989. In 1995, she opened a general surgery practice with a special focus on breast cancer education, prevention, and treatment. In 2010, she joined Texas Breast Specialists.

Her mother was born with a birth defect. An underdeveloped pulmonary artery led to a lifetime of pulmonary compromise and many visits to the doctor. As a child, Dr. Terry’s memories are of doctors providing care that made her mother better. Her mother could then continue being the awesome mother she knew and needed. She became a doctor because she wanted to provide care that she saw brought loved ones back to their families, "better.”
