Whitney Leigh Almond, MSN, RN, FNP-C

General Summary

Whitney received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor in 2014. She has five years of nursing experience specializing in medical/surgical and oncology at Baylor Scott & White and Methodist Healthcare System.  Whitney returned to the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor in 2016 to attend their Family Nurse Practitioner master’s program. She graduated with her master’s degree in 2018. Whitney is excited to become part of the Texas Oncology family and to care for patients at both the San Marcos and Kyle locations.

Whitney recently moved to the hill country, where she and her soon-to-be husband have bought acreage and hope to build and settle there. She is an active supporter of Young Life and plans to support Comal County Young Life in the near future. She has volunteered as a camp nurse for Young Life at Crooked Creek Ranch in Colorado and has been a volunteer and leader at several other camps in the past. Whitney and her husband-to-be enjoy the outdoors, traveling, listening to live music, spending time with their families and friends, and venturing around the hill country. A combined dream of theirs is to become active in medical missions both stateside and overseas.
