Scott A. McKenney, M.D., FACP has served on the Board of Texas Oncology for six years and is a member of the US Oncology Research Network GI Committee. Dr. McKenney has received the Otho Plummer Scholarship Award as valedictorian from Lamar University. At Baylor College of Medicine, he was selected to Alpha Omega Alpha and graduated with honors. He was selected to fellowship in the American College of Physicians. Dr. McKenney is a founding member of the South East Texas Community Access To Health Care. Dr. McKenney was a Cancer Liaison Physician with the American College of Surgeons, and active in Ensuring Cancer Programs at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital. He is the Clinical Research Site Leader for Texas Oncology, P.A. in Beaumont, Texas with a special interest in breast, lung, genitourinary and GI cancers.

Education

Dr. McKenney received his M.D. with honors in 1980 at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. From 1980 – 1983, he completed a residency in internal medicine at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City. He completed a fellowship in medical oncology in 1985 at Baylor College of Medicine.
