Dr. Heaven received Army Commendation Medals for Meritorious Service and Oak Leaf Cluster. He is currently the Cancer Committee Chairman at Abilene Regional Medical Center. He previously served as an Executive Committee Member and Chief of Staff at Hendrick Center for Extended Care in Abilene, Texas, as well as serving in numerous other appointments throughout his career.
