Jay Schachner, M.D.

General Summary

Jay R. Schachner, M.D. specializes in medical oncology and hematology. He is board certified in internal medicine and medical oncology. Dr. Schachner was a graduate student at the Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland. After completing medical school he completed a fellowship in Internal Medicine at Johns Hopkins University. In 1981 he completed his residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Maryland Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. He then went on to his fellowship in Medical Oncology at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas. Dr. Schachner was on the staff at MD Anderson Hospital until he came to Beaumont in 1991.
