James Wilder, M.D.

Education

Medical Doctorate from Wake Forest University School of Medicine, Internship at Roanoke Memorial Hospital in Roanoke, Virginia and Residency done at the University of Florida College of Medicine. During his residency, Dr. Wilder served as chief resident in radiation oncology and received an American Cancer Society Clinical Research fellowship. He has served as a volunteer, medical advisor and board member for the Amercian Cancer Society.

Member of the American Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology, American Medical Association and Texas Medical Association.

Research Interest

Dr. Wilder has training and experience in 3-D conformal radiotherapy, intensity modulated radiation therapy (IMRT), Gamma Knife radiosurgery, linac-based radiosurgery, multiple brachytherapy techniques, including prostate brachytherapy and radiopharmaceuticals.

Dr. Wilder and his wife enjoy traveling, fishing, hiking and other outdoor activities.
