Last year, Texas Oncology–Amarillo patients were involved in nearly 30 clinical trials, including studies about bladder, breast, head and neck, lung, melanoma, prostate, and renal cancers, as well as the hematology disorders multiple myeloma and chronic myeloid leukemia.
Texas Breast Specialists
Texas Breast Specialists is a part of Texas Oncology. Texas Breast Specialists and Texas Oncology provide comprehensive breast care, including breast screening and diagnostic services, medical oncology, and radiation oncology for cancer and other breast diseases, all within the same family of physicians. We were the first clinic in the area to offer 3D screening and diagnostic mammography for highly accurate, even earlier breast cancer detection. Texas Breast Specialists has been designated a Breast Imaging Center of Excellence by the American College of Radiology for earning accreditation in mammography, stereotactic breast biopsy, and breast ultrasound.
Texas Oncology Surgical Specialists
Texas Oncology Surgical Specialists is a part of Texas Oncology. Our surgical oncologist removes tumors, often as part of a combination of treatment options, and may be before or after other treatments such as chemotherapy or radiation depending on a patient’s specific needs. Our surgical oncologist works closely with medical and radiation oncologists to coordinate treatment for patients’ overall care.
Our gynecologic oncologist performs surgery and other special procedures, such as robotic surgery, to diagnose and treat cancers that are specific to women.
