Dr. Miguel Mercado is an awesome Doc! He is personable and genuinely cares for your well-being! I have had 14 Kidney Stone procedures done over the years and Mercado handled most of them. Dr. Sukin did the first Kidney stone procedures I had. Over the years when Mercado joined the team at Texas Urology Specialists I had him for a couple Doc visits and I switched to him because I got along with him so well! He is a super friendly and amazing person. I really like him a lot! I love how he is always on the cutting edge of Urologic procedures that are new and relative to what issues you are having. They’re doing procedures in the office now that 5 years ago had to be done in a hospital. They are AMAZING!!!His Office Staff is very nice as well.

I had an issue that required outpatient surgery. From my initial e-visit through the surgery and follow up Dr.Mercado is a down to earth friendly doctor who makes you feel extremely cared for. Very personal and knowledgeable. He took outstanding care of my 82 year old mother. She had kidney cancer. He did not want to operate due to her age. However, mom insisted he reluctantly submitted to her wish if she passed a series of test. She did and the operation was successful. Thank you sir.

Dr. Mercado is a very good doctor. The appointment before the procedure he walked me through what was going to happened, it was very informative. And during the procedure he was always making sure I was ok. Also, the staff makes sure that any questions or concerns are been answered as soon as possible. Days after the procedure, i had a question concerning my operation (this was like 10 minutes before their closing time) and even though all the doctors and nurses were gone for the day they put me in contact with a Doctor to answer my question.

This was a first visit, new patient, second opinion appointment. Dr. Mercado and his team were AMAZING. I had seen 3 other doctors, including another urologist, been to an ER and no one could help me and couldn't relieve my symptoms and basically told me they didn't know what to do. I actually walked out of the ER and the other offices feeling the same as I walked in. Dr. Mercado listened to my concerns and I explained all of my symptoms and he immediately came up with options and told me exactly what was going on. Mercado is the best Dr. I have ever visited. I was seen for a vasectomy. You would imagine it would be an awkward and uncomfortable experience. It was quite the opposite. Dr Mercado made sure to explain everything. He didn't speak in the typical Dr language. He speaks to you like a friend.
