Robert Thinnes, M.D. is a urologist who understands that urologic concerns can feel deeply personal, uncomfortable, and even overwhelming. That understanding is a big part of what drew him to the specialty. For Dr. Thinnes, the most meaningful part of medicine is helping patients feel less alone in what they are going through and giving them the information they need to feel more confident about their care. He approaches each visit with compassion, patience, and a strong sense of humanism, taking time to listen closely, answer questions, and make sure patients feel heard. Dr. Thinnes believes care should be collaborative and education-focused, so he explains what is happening, walks patients through their treatment options, and discusses the risks and benefits of each path forward. His goal is for every patient to leave his office with a clear understanding of their condition, confidence in the next steps, and reassurance that they have a physician who is committed to helping them navigate their care.
