Dale D. Burleson, M.D., FACS, FASCRS, is board certified in colon and rectal surgery. Dr. Burleson has extensive experience and holds several leadership positions. He is Texas Colon & Rectal Specialists’ medical director and serves on the Texas Oncology Board of Directors. He is chairman of the board of managers at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Frisco. Dr. Burleson is a key opinion leader in minimal invasive and robotic surgery for colorectal, cancer, inflammatory, bowel disease, and other benign diseases of the colon and rectum. He practices both therapeutic and screening colonoscopy and is a referral source for endoscopic removal of large polyps.
He loves building relationships with people in his care and providing personalized and outstanding care. His outcomes in minimally invasive surgery, cancer treatment/cure and colonoscopy screening/polyp detection rates are all well above national norms. Dr. Burleson has become a go-to source for minimally invasive surgery and restorative surgery for ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease.
Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family and dogs. He is an instrument rated pilot and enjoys stand up paddle boarding, surfing, snow skiing along, and technical scuba diving.
