Lynn Canavan, M.D., FACS

Education

Dr. Canavan earned her medical degree from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha in 1990 after graduating with a B.S. in Biology from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. She went on to complete residency training in general surgery at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center/Parkland Hospital in Dallas.

Accolades & Memberships

Dr. Canavan is a Fellow, American College of Surgeons Association of Women Surgeons; The American Society of Breast Surgeons; Southwestern Surgical Congress; American Medical Association; Texas Medical Association; Collin–Fannin Medical Society and Parkland Surgical Society. In 2009 Dr. Canavan was elected as one of D Magazine’s best breast surgeons in Dallas.
