About
Dr. Steven Montalvo is passionate about working with children and specializes in pediatric cancers, as well as cancers of the central nervous system and spine in both pediatrics and adults. After completing his undergraduate degree at Texas A&M University, he earned his medical doctorate at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, TX. He then completed his pediatric residency at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford in California, and subsequently, a radiation oncology residency at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, TX. During his radiation oncology residency, he also spent time working at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. Dr. Montalvo is a native Texan who loves cooking and exploring new restaurants, with a particular penchant for good BBQ. He also enjoys cycling and playing tennis.
